It was a busy couple of months and I could not spend time as much as I would have hoped to. However I managed to take some pictures through these months and here they are for your perusal.

I have seen Sunsets at the seashores and never from a hill. So I went in search of a sweet spot at Ooty to see the Sundown. And after few KMS I found this perfect place. Words are simply not enough; see for yourself.

Capturing stage performance is a challenge in its own rights. There were dozens and dozens of professional as well as amateur photographers to take that beutiful portrait of the performer. I struggled to get a good composition among the crowd and finally the patience paid off. I was able to capture the essence of the performance; I.

I am an arderent fan of the Persian Poet Rumi. All of his poems are unique ,romantic and touches a chord!I especially love a verse and eventually I clicked and image to portray the verse. You will have to decide if you see the verse in the picture. The verse is:

"Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right doing, there is a field. I'll meet you there. -Rumi"

The bird with its food. Every day morning by 6:30 this bird wakes me up :). Yes it does.It has a very sweet call. I even have a name for him.But what you see in the picture is not him but another bird of the same breed.

Bokeh's and reflections are the elements which drives photographers crazy. I am happy to have them both in this snap and they sparkle.

8)Thrissur Chetta.

To show people how beautiful they are is a task I love to do. Let them be in their comfort zone, make them talk and then I click. The result is a candid shot and here we experimented with a torch light on a dark outdoor.

This is one of the best places I have ever  been. This is a small village inside the woods. The village is welcomed by a church, fields and then the small colony.
To get a whole picture of the village I snapped this shot from the top of a hill nearby.I used the filters to give a miniature effect. Arent they looking like clay particles?

Hobbies! It keeps man going. Man has created so many concepts right from society to culture to hobbies.
I would always advocate that everyone should be in touch with their hobbies all life through. And you know why?

New year,a new beginning and the day we look forward for a new start on old habits :).OK! To the point, I would start with Tea Plantation as this is the harvesting month(Thai) and the month for the farmers.

Every photo has a story. It has a beautiful moment just before the snap and after. So now on, Every month I shall share with you viewers some of the best shots I had taken along with my experience taking that shot. This month was really fascinating, I had spent lots of time with nature. So here are few of the best shots I had taken for the month Dec-Jan(Margazhi).

I was little disappointed of not being able to snap a bird closer in spite of following it for nearly half hour. Meanwhile i heard the squirrels scream, that's when I noticed two squirrels on a tree(only one on this frame). One was trying to climb up the tree and the other was observing and then both were screaming at each other. Territory fight ? or may be family problems?. I shot this when both the squirrels went to silent mode after they found me next to them.

If you are a nature lover,if you want to witness the harsh rain of Kerala, lush green of Western Ghats; Then Gavi is the place that you must visit. Trust me, you will find a new "you" in you.I made this frame just when the clouds cleared the sky. Best time to snap.

"Earth laughs through flowers." I absolutely go with this quote.Time and time again men of art have admired flowers. Just look at the petals of this flower, its as though blushing in front of my camera.

Kids are not two faced. Its us who teach them to wear the mask, to survive in the so called society. When I asked him to pose for me and he just let out his feeling. You know what it is?

5)Beauty & D Beast.

At the time of atrocities against women, there suddenly sprouts this graffiti on a wall which usually used to serve as a place for dumb posters! The beauty and the beast are there!

Certain portraits just happen. The moment he saw me framing him, he took a bite on the plum cake he had. That gave this portrait a unique look. Icing to the cake(the one in his hand :P) is the soft bokeh in the background.Mask free and pure.

7)Tiny Town.

While on a birding trip near Ooty, I saw this small township at the slopes of a hill. I thought a miniature effect would add more depth to the township and here it is.

Sunset at the beach is one of many natural phenomenon every one is aware but rarely do we take time to admire it. The colors, the atmosphere and the cool breeze is just enough to change your mood instantly. You dont buy my words? Try it once! And that is how this shot was framed.

F3.5 | 1/2 Seconds |66mm

I admire the stage performers. You have hundreds of people in front of you yet you believe in yourself, bring out the message to the world and keep them glued to the seat. Bharathnatiyam is one dance form which i like the most for only one reason: "Expression".

F4.8 | 1/80 Seconds |170mm

10)Blue Tiger Tirumala Limniace.

I also love taking shots of butterflies. And I want to be honest here. Some times you need a lot of luck for that best capture. Here I was lucky to spot this butterfly sitting out there calm for quite some time allowing me to frame this shot.

F5.6 | 1/160 Seconds |300mm

11)Juvenile Scaly Breasted Munia.

For more than two decades I have seen them fly, I have seen them coo and I have seen them preen but once I got closer with a camera, I couldn't stop admiring at Mother Nature. For taking this snap I had to crawl through bushes to get close to this family. There were at-least 6 of them but only two are part of the frame.

12)After a Hard day at Work.

Do you do people watching? May be you should try once, just like that in a public gathering like a park. Its fun. You will also realize that having self pity is a total waste of time.I am not sure if he was drunk; but he seemed dog tired.

I wish you all of you a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year 2014.Cheers!
